Teen Therapy
Navigating the challenges of adolescence can be overwhelming. Teen therapy services are designed to provide a supportive and non-judgmental environment for teenagers to explore issues and feel safe being themselves. We address a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and peer relationships.
EMDR Therapy
EMDR therapy is a specialized approach that helps individuals process and heal from traumatic experiences. I use eye movements, sounds, or taps to facilitate the reprocessing of distressing memories. EMDR therapy can be highly effective in reducing the impact of trauma and promoting emotional well-being.

CBT
CBT or Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is an evidenced based treatment modality that focuses on identifying and altering unhelpful thought patterns that have a negative impact on your emotions and behaviors. We are often sent many messages growing up about how we are supposed to be, look, think, feel, etc. These do not always fit with who we are authentically, and lead to many different issues. Using CBT we will uncover those maladaptive beliefs, replace them with more helpful alternative ones, and align your behavior with your goals.
Self Compassion
Developing self-compassion is one of the main goals in creating higher self-esteem and overall fulfillment. We have often been taught to “suck it up” or even be critical with ourselves for mistakes we make. Along with that, we might even discount the good things we do, only seeing where we fail. This way of thinking creates an unhealthy relationship with yourself where you become highly critical, and lack the warmth and understanding necessary that helps one grow and heal.
What is it?

Eye movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a highly effective and extensively researched treatment modality for trauma and other issues.
How does it work?

EMDR uses the brain’s natural healing process. This process involves communication between the amygdala (the alarm signal for stressful events), the hippocampus (which assists with learning, including memories about safety and danger), and the prefrontal cortex (which analyzes and controls behavior and emotion).
Stress responses are part of our natural fight, flight, or freeze instincts. When distress from a disturbing event remains, the upsetting images, thoughts, and emotions may create an overwhelming feeling of being back in that moment, or of being “frozen in time.” Sometimes, we might not even be conscious of the ways these unprocessed memories affect how we show up in the present. EMDR therapy helps the brain process these memories, and allows normal healing to resume. The experience is still remembered, but the fight, flight, or freeze response from the original event is resolved.
